Level 1 – Introduction to Water Skills: Helps participants feel comfortable in the water and to enjoy the water safely. Ages 5+.
Level 2 - Fundamental Aquatic Skills: Builds on the skills in Level 1 and gives participants success with fundamental skills.
Level 3 – Stroke Development: Builds on the skills in level 2 by providing additional guided practice in deeper water.
Level 4 – Stroke Improvement: Develops participants’ confidence in the strokes being learned. Improves other water skills.
Level 5 - Stroke Refinement: Provides further coordination and refinement of strokes.
Level 6 - Swimming & Skill Proficiency: Refines the strokes so participants swim them with ease, efficiency and power over greater distances.
NOTES: Water Safety Instructors are well trained and reserve the right to move students from one level to another based on skill and ability.
*Classes will be held rain or shine but not during thunder and lightning storms. Please call the Pool at 523-7770 if you are unsure of the weather conditions. You are guaranteed 8 classes. Children may not pass a class the first time. Parents will be informed when child passes to next level.
